How to archive a mailbox to PST in Microsoft Exchange 2019
Here are some instructions of how to archive a mailbox to PST
1) First you need to have access to a shared folder somewhere on your network. This folder must be accessible to the Exchange server and must have correct permissions so that the Exchange server can write the PST to the desired location. Make sure you provide the Exchange Server 'Exchange Trusted Subsystem' rights to this location
2) Login to the Exchange Management Console (EMC). Select recipients => Mailboxes => Click on the mailbox you wish to export => Click the three dots button (...) => Click 'Export to a PST file'
3) The mailbox will already be selected, or change it by clicking the Browse button. Select 'Export only the contents of this mailbox'
4) Enter in the location of where the shared folder is. This will be a shared folder and name for example \\server.domain\Shared\Backup\IT\_POST (Outlook) Archive\MailboxName.pst
5) Select a name to send a notification email to for the export. This mailbox will receive a notification for when the export starts and is completed. Select Finish and your export should queue to start.
